Finally a good romance! You have no idea how long I've been waiting for a good romance read. I agree with the quote “Linden touches every emotion.” by Julia Quinn because every emotion is covered in this book. From the tingling butterflies to your heart pounding. You feel the full spectrum. I wish more romances were written like this one. I've been searching and searching for an amazing historical romance writer and I just found her! Overview: With One Night in London, the sensational Caroline Linden kicks off a wonderful new historical romance series about three brothers trying to protect their good names and their fortunes while finding true love. Readers of Elizabeth Boyle and Liz Carlyle will not be able to resist this tantalizing tale that has the middle son of a recently deceased English duke hoping to avoid scandal and ruin as he searches for the young wife his late father never divorced…and encounters instead a desperate beauty who needs his help to rescue an endangered child. Caroline Linden is a master of romantic adventure—as the RITA Award-nominated author has already proven with You Only Love Once, For Your Arms Only, and A View to a Kiss—and her ever-growing legion of fans will never forget this thrilling and sensuous One Night in London.

i haven't read this book in a while. i think the last time i read it it was in 8th grade. one thing i do know is that it was a very interesting and it might have been one of the best i've read. my first opion picking up this book was that, it would be dry or corney. only because the title was God don't like ugly. Sunday mornings and church images instantly popped up in my head. Now being as though i've had Mr. Romero class 10th grade english class, picking up that book would have brought different questions to my head. One question would be if it was banned or not for having the word God in the title. This book was about a young girl growing up in the rough racist neighborhood. She had no father figure, but the men her mom dated every now and then. Being as though she and her mother didn't have a tight relationship it made her vurnable to other people and things. One day her mom meet a strange man and he started living with thime in there house, when she was alone in this house with her moms boyfriend he would fandle her and eventually start to rape her. She was only fourteen years old. When she tried to tell her mother she didn't even wanna believe her. When deep down she knew it was true in one way or another. Having no one to talk to at home turned her to friends outside. She had met this one friend who became her only bestfriend. they both wasn't that social so when they meet, they instantly clicked. together they started drinking and smoking at a young age. she felt that if she did these things it would take her mind off what was happening at home. with that she started having sex with various of men too. During a talk with her friend she exclaimed that she had been getting rapped by her mothers boy friend since she was fourteen and now she is eighteen. With that her friend didn't wait one minute to express her feelings, With out thinking she killed the man for having hurt her friend. After reading that part about her killing him i felt as though it wasn't her job to take someones life. I know he was wrong and evil for the things he had done to her,but at the same time i think she would have dealt with it on her own. But then when i read it over i felt that she was a true friend and that if she hadn't done what she did he would still be hurting her physically and mentally.
